Job opportunity: Senior Software Engineer - Docker, Node.js, Golang

  • As it goes with all early startups, the title is not a one-size-fits-all description, so your responsibilities and future potential to grow and adapt are held in your hands.
  • You will be working directly with the core technology team on developing technologies and products, and helping with system design decisions
  • You will be a key member of a focused and dedicated team
  • You will be crucial to our key customer relationships through your support of early customer rollouts
  • As with any early-stage company, the potential for professional growth and development is immense
  • Manage our build system, deployment and testing environment, as well as our CI infrastructure
  • Extend existing deployment and scalability testing
  • Experience working with Ubuntu, CentOS, and RedHat servers
  • Proficiency with current server-side technologies such as Docker (and related tools), Cassandra, Chef or Puppet, Vagrant, GitLab
  • Experience with back-end JavaScript and Node.js
  • Experience with Bash scripting, without outright hating it, is a plus
  • Experience with the development, testing, and deployment of software created with the GO tool chain
  • Experience with Mesos, Kubernetes, and/or CoreOS a plus, but not required. Similarly, experience with OpenStack, VMWare tools, IBM Platform and similar tools can be a big help
  • If you don’t have all of that, at least have deep experience with C/C++, Java, C# or the ability to pick up and learn any language and framework really fast
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment, change priorities dynamically, and wear multiple hats as needed
  • Job Type: Full-time, competitive salary and equity
  • Location: Downtown Boston, on-site, local candidates only, no remote or relocation
  • Required Experience: Linux: at least 5 years
  • Required Experience: Software development: at least 5 years
  • Required Education: Bachelor's degree or higher; prior relevant depth of experience equivalent
